This secluded holiday house is one for the total city escape. The spacious 3 bedroom house is nestled on a hill-side at peaceful Valentine on the shores of Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle. Nature surrounds you with the unique bushland and frequent visitors from an array of bird life and some curious but gorgeous possums. The ambience is undeniable with the gentle breezes from the lake blowing the leaves, as you relax with your choice of food and beverage.

The ‘Escape @ Valentine’ house has the ‘wow factor’ to impress for a special occasion or the simple comforts of home to feel relaxed with the family. The accommodation can sleep up to 6 persons (Or 7 person max as we can provide a port-a-cot for an infant - at no charge!)

The local village has everything you could possibly need from an independent grocer, café, fish & chip takeaway, Malaysian/ Chinese restaurant, butcher, bottle shop, hair dressers, beauty salon, chemist, newsagent, medical centre and more. There are lakeside playgrounds and many free community BBQ’s and picnic areas.

For activities:-

Obviously for fun; we have boat hire for the boating, fishing, exploring or simply swimming and cruising! ‘The Lake Limo’ pontoon party boat can be picked up from Valentine’s local jetty for fun in the sun.

Bushwalkers; Green Point Reserve is practically at your doorstep and can be accessed by a number of local routes to explore and enjoy!

Swimmers; you can swim at Valentine Hydrotherapy pools, designated swimming areas in the lake or head to one of the many local beaches which are only a quick 5-10 minutes drive away!

Shoppers; Warners Bay or Belmont shopping complexes are 5mins away. The newly re-developed Charlestown Square or Westfield Kotara are each only 10mins drive away! The possibilities are endless at these venues from Fitness First Gym, Gold Class Cinemas, Ten-pin bowling, endless eateries and clothing stores. Then Newcastle City is a 25 min drive from Valentine with even more shopping, beaches, cafes & eateries and clubbing & hotel establishments.
